Network Operations Manager

Serves customers by maintaining network operations and results; managing staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Accomplishes technical operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieves technical operations operational objectives by contributing technical operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining technical operations system improvements; implementing change.
  •  Meets technical operations financial objectives by forecasting technical operations requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  •  Develops network strategic plan by studying company growth plans; designing engineering and system capacity; designing transmitter sites; obtaining site leases or purchases; ordering equipment and utilities; establishing specifications, policies, and inspection procedures.
  •  Maintains network quality results by completing equipment tests, inspections, and maintenance; installing software translations and new releases; resolving interference.
  •  Maintains customer service by studying customer satisfaction surveys; solving problems; developing system improvements.
  •  Prepares for disasters by identifying potential problems; developing response plans; managing crises.
  •  Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential; securing network facilities and operations.
  •  Maintains network database by establishing information requirements; designing an information system; providing back-up mechanisms.
  •  Updates job knowledge by participating in trade shows and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  •  Accomplishes network technical operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
